Why We Rebranded:
From Trumbull Dental Arts to Ascend Functional Dentistry
A New Name, A Higher Standard of Care
Over the past several years, both my practice and my personal philosophy around healing have undergone a major and profound transformation. What began as a traditional dental office called Trumbull Dental Arts has evolved into something far deeper, more aligned, and more reflective of the kind of care I believe patients deserve. Today, I am honored to introduce our new name — Ascend Functional Dentistry.
This rebrand is not simply a new logo or a fresh coat of paint. It represents an internal shift that has unfolded in tandem with my own healing journey and the larger awakening happening within medicine and dentistry today.
Like many dentists, I was trained within a conventional medical system that all too often treats symptoms rather than the root cause. Over time, I started to see patterns — patients who were told their chronic issues were life sentences, people who cycled between providers without real answers, and a medical model that, unintentionally, keeps people in a low state of vitality rather than empowering them to truly heal.

When I first opened my practice, the name Trumbull Dental Arts reflected exactly what I was then — a general dental office grounded in traditional methods, serving primarily the local town. But as the practice expanded, the name no longer matched the work I was doing or the patients I was attracting.
Today, patients travel from across the region because they’re seeking a different kind of care: care that honors biology, the nervous system, the immune system, and the connection between the mouth and the entire body.
Ascend feels aligned in a way that the old name never could. It reflects movement, elevation, progress, and a higher expression of healing — for my patients and for myself.
This new brand identity also defies geography. Although we are located in Trumbull, the care we provide reaches far beyond its borders. The name Ascend opens the door to something broader, more universal, and more reflective of the vision guiding this practice forward.
